Demo CD update again

BIG MISTAKE!
We should've recorded the drum machine on an empty salvageable track! (read: to be erased and used back later).
After a good many attempts to record the drums track I gave up. I thought miking the drums was going to be the hardest part, but boy, was I mistaken! With the tempo changes and having only rhythm guitars and piano as a guide it was practically impossible to get the drums right.

So we trashed everything and started over, with a real drummer now... what a difference!
Got the two rhythm guitars, drums, and main vocal for the first song.

We then did the second song, recording the piano, drums, and rhythm guitar. After two takes for the main vocal I wasn't convinced it was a good one, but we had already been working for almost four hours, and it was late, so we called it a night. I'll work on the piano part for the first song and a couple of virtual tracks for the main vocal (I'm sure my Nakamichi mics will rise to the ocasion!)

As always, it's very hard to keep things simple; this is supposed to be a demo CD of what we sound like live, so I have to restrain myself from adding any other instruments that we don't play (or even doubling the ones we do... would you believe a couple of extra singers? No? ...darn!

Hear you later!
